GREATER NOIDA, March 6 -- Noida International Airport has received mandatory security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), paving the way for its inauguration, officials announced Thursday. The approval from BCAS is a critical prerequisite for the aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is expected to be issued "within a week," said RK Singh, chief executive officer of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), the Uttar Pradesh government agency overseeing the project.
