India, Sept. 14 -- Winter 2026-27 could bring a mix of warmer temperatures, more rain and changing snow patterns across the United States. NOAA's latest weather maps are giving an early look at what different parts of the country could experience from December through February.

The NOAA Climate Prediction Center released new maps showing what temperatures and rain may look like from December 2026 through February 2027, as per Newsweek.

The temperature map shows that much of the US could have warmer-than-normal weather this winter. This includes the Pacific Northwest, northern Rockies, Plains, Midwest and Northeast. The strongest signal for warmer weather is in the northern part of the country.
