No survivors after charter plane with 8 aboard crashes in US' Alaska
India, Aug. 21 -- A charter aircraft with eight people on board crashed near a remote radar site in western Alaska in the United States on Thursday, killing everyone on board, the US military said.
"This is a devastating loss for our military family and the communities we serve," said US Air Force Lt Gen. Robert Davis, commander of Alaskan Command, the Alaskan North American aerospace defence command region and Eleventh Air Force.
The aircraft crashed at Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site Airport, around 450 miles (725 km) west of Anchorage, Alaska.
Earlier, Clint Johnson, the national transportation safety board's Alaska region chief, told news agency Associated Press that the aircraft had two pilots and six passengers on board.
