India, Sept. 17 -- The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition seeking a fact-finding inquiry into "conflicting' accounts by police and media over the alleged use of lathis by Delhi Police against student protesters during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led march towards the Parliament on July 20. A bench of chief justice DK Upadhyaya and justice Tejas Karia held that the jurisdiction of a PIL is not intended to adjudicate disputes arising from conflicting versions of events and the petition did not involve public interest.
