New Delhi, May 31 -- Nine people were rescued from a desert cooler manufacturing factory in Bawana Industrial Area, outer Delhi, which caught fire in the early hours of Saturday, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officer said. The officer said that at 3:16 am, the control room received a fire alert at a factory in Bawana Sector 5, and six fire tenders were rushed; upon demand, three more were dispatched. "Nine workers were trapped in the factory running in a three-storey building with a basement. All were safely rescued," the officer said. "Nine fire tenders were deployed, and the fire was doused in nearly two hours. A probe has been launched."
