NHAI provides Chakan traffic police a crane, patrolling van
India, Sept. 7 -- As part of the efforts being taken to address severe traffic congestion in the Chakan area, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has, for the first time, provided Chakan traffic police a crane and a patrolling van to quickly clear heavy vehicles that break down on the Pune-Nashik highway. The equipment will be deployed in the Chakan and Mahalunge traffic divisions, while an ambulance is also expected to be added soon.
