India, Sept. 21 -- The Federal Aviation Administration said Monday it is temporarily halting some incoming flights at Newark Liberty, Philadelphia and Teterboro airports due to air traffic control communications issues.

The disruption is linked to problems with some frequencies at a Philadelphia air traffic control facility.

Flight tracking website FlightAware said more than 300 flights at Newark and Philadelphia had been delayed.

Newark serves as a major hub for United Airlines, while Philadelphia is a major hub for American Airlines.
