New framework delays 2025 IPS cadre allocations
NEW DELHI, May 19 -- The Union government's move to implement a revised cadre allocation system for All India Services has led to a delay in the allocation of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the 2025 batch, with officials citing procedural changes, reconciliation of vacancies and additional scrutiny under the new framework as reasons for the delay.
The delay has left candidates awaiting clarity on the states or Union Territories where they will begin their careers.
