New Delhi beat North Delhi in last league game
New Delhi, Aug. 29 -- In the final league match of the DPL, New Delhi Tigers defeated North Delhi Strikers by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Sarthak Ranjan's 58-ball ton was in vain as Tigers produced an all-round show to trump Strikers. Other than Ranjan, the rest of the line-up struggled and only Arjun Rapria showed resistance with his 23-ball 47 to post 199/6. Prince Yadav and Himmat Singh picked two wickets each.
Tigers began their chase on a positive note with Shivam Gupta and Lakshya Thareja stitching a 46-run partnership. While Gupta was dismissed for 31, Thareja went on to post an unbeaten 80 off 48.
