India, Sept. 17 -- Days after an FIR was filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the Disha Salian death case of 2020, in which her father named Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray as an accused, Thackeray denied any connection with her. He said the allegation against him was "character assassination" that had been going on for the past six years.

In the first week of September, the Bombay high court ordered the CBI to register an FIR in the Disha Salian death case based on the statement of her father Satish Salian.
