National highway helpline set to get AI upgrade
New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Monday said it is planning to upgrade its 1033 National Highway Helpline with artificial intelligence (AI), real-time location tracking and smart emergency-response systems to improve assistance to highway users.
The upgraded system will use AI-assisted handling of calls in different Indian languages and identify and dispatch the most suitable ambulance, crane or patrol vehicle, NHAI said.
