India, March 28 -- Travis Reynolds, a Pima County Sheriff's deputy, was arrested on kidnapping charges as the department continues to search for Nancy Guthrie. The 84-year-old mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie was reported missing on February 1 and authorities believe she was taken from her Catalina Foothills home near Tucson, Arizona, the night before.

It has been over a month and there are no suspects in the case. Guthrie is yet to be found either, with the FBI joining PCSD to lend a hand in the matter. Amid this, the news of Reynolds' arrest has sparked a buzz given that his department is handling the high-profile Guthrie case.
