India, Sept. 8 -- Netizens hoped for a break in the Nancy Guthrie case when a woman claimed she'd bought a tablet belonging to the kidnapped octogenarian.

The claims were made in a viral video shared by a YouTuber tracking the Nancy Guthrie case. It came seven months after the mother of TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie was reported missing. An initial missing persons report was filed on February 1 and authorities believe Nancy was taken from her Catalina Foothills home, near Tucson, Arizona, the night before.
