Nana Patekar, the actor who made intensity his signature, dies at 75
India, Oct. 8 -- Nana Patekar, the actor whose raw intensity, unmistakable voice and explosive dialogue delivery made him one of the most distinctive performers in Hindi and Marathi cinema, died in Goa early Thursday. He was 75.
Patekar was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula and taken to Manipal Hospital, where doctors attempted to revive him for about 45 minutes. He was declared dead at around 5.20am following a cardiac arrest, according to hospital sources and his son, Malhar.
