India, Aug. 12 -- I've recently become slightly obsessed with serum-based foundations, and honestly, I think I know why: I don't want my skin to look like I've put on a full face of makeup, but I also don't want to look like I rolled straight out of bed and walked into work.

That middle ground is exactly where serum foundations shine.

I love a base that still looks like skin: smooth, fresh and naturally glowy rather than visibly layered with product. Serum-based foundations tend to have that lightweight, fluid texture that blends easily and leaves the complexion looking more even without completely masking it.

And for me, that's the sweet spot.
