India, Aug. 14 -- Mumbai Police busted a milk adulteration racket during a raid on a Kandivali East residence, where a 48-year-old man was allegedly caught adulterating milk sold under Amul and Gokul labels, police said. The accused was arrested.

The Mumbai Police informed about the adulteration racket bust in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

"The Detection Squad of @SamtaNagarPS raided a residence in Kandivali East and caught a 48-year-old man red-handed while adulterating branded milk with impure water for sale," the post read.

A case has been registered under the BNS and the Food Safety and Standards Act, as per the police.
