Bhopal/New Delhi, July 30 -- The Madhya Pradesh government on Wednesday announced it will procure 60% of moong (green gram) from each eligible farmer, up from the earlier limit of 25%, with state agriculture minister Aidal Singh Kansana saying the decision was taken after a meeting with representatives of 16 farmer bodies. Earlier, chief minister Mohan Yadav set up a four-member panel to hold talks with farmers protesting for the past three days for complete procurement of moong and scrapping of the e-token system for fertiliser distribution.
