SAGAR, Aug. 24 -- A 34-year-old man suspected to have killed two boys over the weekend to be able to marry their mother was found dead in a well in Chhatarpur district's Luvkush Nagar on Monday, police said.

Police said the man, who is suspected to have abducted the two boys, was suspected to have died by suicide. He had been missing since Sunday after the bodies of the two children, aged 9 and 11, were found in another well in Pahadtare ka Purva village.

Jujharnagar police station in-charge Rajkumar Yadav said the two boys had gone to school on Friday. When they did not return, their mother filed a missing complaint. During its investigation, police came across CCTV footage that showed the man taking the boys with him on a bike.
