MP: Injured cheetah KGP-11 rescued from Morena, under close monitoring
India, June 5 -- India-born female cheetah KGP-11, aged 27 months, was found injured in the Pahargarh region of Madhya Pradesh's Morena district and is currently undergoing treatment under close veterinary supervision, officials said.
Veterinarians detected internal haemorrhage during an initial examination, and officials said her prognosis remains guarded despite her condition being stable.
Uttam Kumar Sharma, field director of Kuno National Park in Sheopur, said the exact cause of the injury is yet to be ascertained, though it may have resulted from an accident.
"The real cause will be found out after a thorough investigation," Sharma said.
