Months on, Ludhiana MC office road still gives commuters a bumpy ride
Ludhiana, Aug. 14 -- The proverb that "a cobbler's children go barefoot" aptly describes the state of the road outside the Municipal Corporation's Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar. While the civic body is carrying out road construction and repairs across the city, the road outside its office remains riddled with potholes for months.
The entire stretch of the road right from the railway underbridge (RUB) on Pakhowal Road to Ferozepur road is full of potholes and uneven patches protruding above the asphalt surface. The road was to be built under the smart city project with proper footpaths and street lights. However, it was never built but only patched on different occasions.
