India, May 1 -- An IndiGo flight aborted takeoff at Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport on Thursday morning after a monkey ran across the runway, officials aware of the details said. The incident occurred around 8.55am when the Raipur-bound flight 6E-6521, carrying 135 passengers, had started its takeoff roll. After the aircraft had covered about 200 metres on the runway, the pilot spotted the animal on the runway and applied brakes, bringing the aircraft to a halt, they said, adding that the aircraft was then diverted to a taxiway while Air Traffic Control (ATC) was notified of the runway intrusion.
