Mohali, Sept. 3 -- A Mohali court on Wednesday acquitted Amit Kumar, accused of sexually assaulting a woman at her rented accommodation in Shiv Nagar, in a case registered in 2024, holding him not guilty of charges under Sections 376 (rape), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Additional sessions-cum-fast track special court judge,Mohali, Vikrant Kumar acquitted Amit in a case registered at Dhakoli police station. Advocates R K Vashishat and Monika Gupta represented the accused.
