Mohali, Oct. 10 -- The district consumer disputes redressal commission has directed Ola Electric Technologies Pvt Ltd and its Phase-2 service centre to repair a defective electric scooter within 30 days or refund the entire amount of the two-wheeler along with 6% annual interest to the buyer, after finding deficiency in service.

The order was pronounced by president SK Aggrawal and commission member Paramjeet Kaur on a complaint by Munna Ali, a Barmajra resident, who had purchased the scooter through the Ola Electric application for Rs.85,999 on July 28, 2024. He also paid Rs.6,818 for insurance.
