Modi, Albanese launch sports initiatives to strengthen ties
New Delhi, July 11 -- PM Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart PM Anthony Albanese announced a slew of initiatives to strengthen sporting ties between the two nations, including a 'Roadmap for Sports Collaboration' recognising Australia's hosting of the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and India's ambition to host the 2036 Games.
The two leaders were present at an event at the iconic MCG where Albanese announced that the Big Bash League opener, featuring Melbourne Renegades taking on Perth Scorchers, will take place in Chennai in December.
