India, Aug. 14 -- The bodies of a couple who went missing on Wednesday were found stuffed inside a trunk at their house in Poonawali village in Rajasthan's Udaipur district on Friday morning, police said.

The couple had reportedly been missing since the morning of August 12.

Police identified the deceased as 65-year-old Lahri Lal Paliwal and 62-year-old Radha Devi. Paliwal used to sell milk for a living, and the couple lived alone at their house, officers said.

"The bodies of Lahri Lal Paliwal and his wife Radha Devi were found inside a trunk at their house. Prima facie, it appears that the couple may have been murdered late Tuesday night," Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sayra police station Shaitan Singh Nathawat said.
