LUCKNOW, Sept. 1 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said the government's objective was to establish a transparent recruitment system in government services in which merit would receive the highest priority. He described the revised selection process for Group B officers of the UP Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) as an important step in that direction.

He made the remarks while interacting with 40 newly selected Group B officers of the UPPCB, including 26 assistant environmental engineers and 14 assistant scientific officers, after completion of their recruitment process.
