MCG fines sanitation agency rRs.r12 lakh in fresh Zone-5 action
India, Aug. 12 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has imposed at least Rs.17.31 lakh in penalties on a private sanitation agency in two clearly documented actions this year, including fresh penalties of Rs.1,200,466 in Zone-5 for shortages in the deployment of vehicles, tractor-trolleys and sanitation workers, officials said.
HT has withheld the name of the agency, as its officials did not respond to queries despite repeated attempts. The agency was contracted over the past month, with the contract having a duration of one year.
