India, March 31 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) has initiated steps to transform four wards into a "Europe-like look" urban landscape under a proposed Rs.2,000-crore development plan, officials familiar with the project said.
Officials said the project will be funded by the central government, with funds to be allocated to the MCG.
The proposal, currently under consideration, is expected to be placed before the finance and contract committee (F&CC) of the MCG for approval in its upcoming meeting. The pilot will cover municipal wards 33, 11, 25 and 1, with an estimated expenditure of over Rs.500 crore per ward, officials said.
