India, Aug. 20 -- Mayfield and Murray in Kentucky remain under tornado warning amid severe thunderstorms and strong winds in the area. Wind speeds of up to 100 mph is expected. The warning is till 1:15am CDT or 2:15am ET.

"Severe Thunderstorm Warning including Murray KY, Mayfield KY and Benton KY until 1:15 AM CDT. This destructive storm will contain wind gusts to 100 MPH!," the National Weather Service (NWS) noted. A map of the areas likely to be impacted was shared as well.

A meteorologist also shared areas that would be hit by the storm and wrote "I would prepare NOW if you live in Benton, Kentucky, for an increasing tornado threat.This is a dangerous storm that is producing a tornado right now North of Mayfield, Kentucky."
