Max Hospital revises statement on Delhi fire, omits cylinder blast reference
India, June 3 -- A massive fire at a bed-and-breakfast (B&B) facility in south Delhi's Malviya Nagar has claimed at least 21 lives so far, with dozens of others undergoing treatment, according to the latest statement issued by Max Hospital, Saket Complex.
In a media statement issued on Wednesday, the hospital said it received 39 patients at its Emergency Department following the fire incident. Upon arrival, all patients underwent immediate clinical assessment and were treated by multidisciplinary teams in line with established emergency response protocols.
"The patients presented with asphyxiation and varying degrees of minor burn injuries and fractures," the hospital said.
