Man stabbed to death in mumbai local, one held
MUMBAI, June 25 -- A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death inside a first-class compartment of a local train on Tuesday night, following an altercation with a fellow passenger over closing the coach's doors to protect against a heavy downpour, police said.
The victim, Mayank Lohar, was a resident of Virar who worked as a salesman with a retail chain outlet in Andheri. He succumbed to his injuries early on Wednesday.
Hours after the incident, the Borivali Government Railway Police (GRP) nabbed the assailant in Panvel after identifying him from the CCTV footage. He was identified as Roshan Suvarna, Inspector Dattaray Khuperkar of the Borivali police station said.
