Rohtak, Feb. 24 -- A local court in Fatehabad on Monday sentenced a 20-year-old man to 20-year of rigorous imprisonment for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in 2024. Amit Garg, additional sessions judge-cum special judge, Fast-track court in Fatehabad, convicted accused Abhijit under sections- 115(2), 137(2), 351(3), 65(1), 87, 75(1), 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita act and sections 4(2) and 12 of the Protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act. The accused was slapped with a fine of Rs.1.70 lakh.
