India, Aug. 12 -- A 35-year-old employee of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) riding a motorcycle was killed after he was allegedly run over by a concrete mixture truck on the Outer Ring Road near IIT Delhi Metro station in south Delhi on Wednesday, police said.

The truck driver attempted to flee the spot, leaving the injured behind, but passersby intercepted him at the Hauz Khas flyover.

The suspect was handed over to the police, who arrested him. A case was registered under sections 281 (negligent driving) and 106 (causing a person's death by a rash or negligent act) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Kishangarh police station.
