Mamata's aide quits TMC posts
Kolkata, June 20 -- Former West Bengal minister Jyotipriya Mallick, counted among the oldest aides of Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee, resigned from all party posts on Friday citing multiple ailments.
"My movements have been majorly restricted by ailments...Both my kidneys are malfunctioning. Under these circumstances, I decided to quit all party posts," said Mallick, who was in charge of departments such as food, public distribution system and forest under the TMC-led West Bengal government.
