Kolkata, March 24 -- West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee criticised the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday over the reported appearance of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seal in a recent notification issued by the chief electoral officer (CEO) of Kerala. In Kerala, the CEO's office reportedly told the media that the BJP seal on the notice resulted from a "clerical mistake."

"I want to show something that proves ECI is not impartial. The cat is out of the bag," Banerjee told reporters at the Kolkata airport, holding up a newspaper report on the Kerala incident.
