Dehradun, Feb. 9 -- A mass protest gathering demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe monitored by a Supreme Court judge into the sexual assault and murder of a 19-year-old hotel receptionist in 2022 was held on Dehradun's Parade Ground on Sunday, with a set of five resolutions passed unanimously at the event. The 'Mahapanchayat' (grand council) included representatives of political parties, social organisations and civil society groups. Of the five resolution included a CBI probe monitored by a Supreme Court judge, and the woman's parents be regarded as the case's central complainants.
