Magisterial probe into J&K police firing death
JAMMU, July 21 -- A magisterial probe has been ordered into the killing of a 35-year-old man allegedly in a police firing incident in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, officials said on Monday.
On July 16, Arif Hussain, a resident of Cheeka village, was killed and two special operations group (SOG) personnel were injured in firing after he allegedly tried to snatch a service rifle from them on the Jai-Gandoh road in Doda around 11.30 pm.
Doda deputy district commissioner Krishan Lal ordered the probe, and marked it to subdivisional magistrate of Assar, Ashok Singh Katoch.
