India, Aug. 20 -- The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT), Pune, has awarded Rs.1,18,16,556 to the widow and mother of a 32-year-old tax consultant who was killed after a cement mixer truck ran over his motorcycle on Jambhulwadi-Shivajinagar Road in April 2023.

Member SR Pawar pronounced the judgment in open court on August 18, 2026, directing the truck owner and its insurer firm to jointly and severally pay the compensation with seven per cent annual interest from the date of filing of the claim petition until realisation. The amount will be equally divided between the deceased's widow, Neha Makarand Jinde, and mother, Ambika Gopal Jinde.
