Ludhiana, Aug. 13 -- A man posing as a woman on social media to lure people with fake overseas visa offers has been arrested in connection with a Rs.2.39-lakh fraud, the cyber crime police (Ludhiana Rural) has said. The accused, identified as Aman of Kurali in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (SAS Nagar), created fake accounts on social networking platforms using the names and identities of women and approached unsuspecting people with promises of arranging foreign visas.
