Ludhiana, April 3 -- The Town Planning wing of the municipal corporation has initiated steps to identify hotels allegedly violating building norms by misusing designated parking spaces for commercial purposes.

As per an official communication issued by the department, a survey has been ordered to identify such violations in hotels constructed between January 1, 2021, and the present date. The move follows complaints that several hotel owners have encroached upon parking areas and put them to commercial use, in violation of building bye-laws and approved plans.
