Ludhiana, Oct. 20 -- A 35-year-old man allegedly tried to run over his former mother-in-law in Ludhiana's Pamma Market on Monday, blaming her for his divorce from her daughter a few months ago.

Two bystanders sustained injuries when the accused, Dalvir Singhm alias Kaka, reportedly reversed his car repeatedly in an attempt to hit the woman, damaging several vehicles before fleeing.

According to the complaint filed by Jassi, 55, a resident of Guru Nanak Nagar who works as a security guard with a private security firm, she was waiting for an auto-rickshaw to travel to work when Dalvir, her former son-in-law, drove past and stopped after spotting her.
