Ludhiana, Aug. 13 -- More than 4.16 lakh voter entries-15.5% of the electorate on the previous roll-have been classified as absent, shifted, deceased, duplicate or otherwise untraceable during the ongoing revision of electoral rolls in Ludhiana, putting the spotlight on the major exercise to clean up the district's voter database.

The district administration on Thursday published the draft electoral roll, with October 1, 2026, as the qualifying date. District election officer-cum-deputy commissioner Himanshu Jain said the draft roll now contains 22,67,911 voters, including 11,96,869 men, 10,70,962 women, 80 transgender voters and 57 NRI voters.
