Ludhiana, Aug. 23 -- A 25-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her house in Salem Tabri on Friday night, while her husband was missing from the house, police said. The woman's family has suspected foul play and alleged that she may have been strangled following a quarrel with her husband.

The deceased was identified as Priya, who had been married to Akshay, 27, a salesman, for around five years. The couple have a four-year-old son.

Police said the exact cause of Priya's death had not been established and would be determined after the post-mortem examination.
