Lok Sabha Secretariat seeks Rahul Gandhi's response to privilege notices over Amit Shah remarks by August 28
India, Aug. 14 -- The Lok Sabha Secretariat has sought a response from Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi over two notices alleging breach of privilege and contempt of the House. This follows notices filed by BJP MPs over the Congress leader's remarks against Union home minister Amit Shah during a debate on the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026.
Rahul has been asked to submit his response by August 28.
BJP's Sanjay Jaiswal shared a copy of the Lok Sabha secretariat's communication to Gandhi in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
