India, Aug. 14 -- Residents of Pali village in Faridabad's NIT area have flagged recurring waste burning and unscientific waste processing at an alleged illegal scrap processing site, causing air pollution in the vicinity.

According to residents, unsegregated dumping and burning of waste on private plots near the Ballabhgarh-Sohna road over the past year have resulted in a stench and thick, toxic smoke.

A spot check by HT on Thursday found heaps of unsegregated wet and dry waste dumped along the farm fields.
