AGRA, Aug. 11 -- Police here seized 415 boxes of Punjab-made liquor worth around Rs.45 lakh from a truck allegedly transporting the consignment illegally to Bihar, where prohibition is in force, and arrested two men in Agra, officials said on Tuesday.

Acting on information about the illegal transportation, police from Trans Yamuna police station intercepted the truck near Jharna drain on the Agra-Firozabad road, DCP Agra City Syed Ali Abbas said.

The arrested men were identified as Daluram, the truck driver, and Naniga Ram, the cleaner. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Excise Act at Trans Yamuna police station.
