New Delhi, July 25 -- The excise department has verbally directed liquor vends across Delhi to close two hours earlier than usual for the next three days, officials said on Friday.
According to officials, these shops, which normally operate from 10am to 10pm, have been asked to shut by 8pm.
The curtailment of business hours comes amid heightened security in parts of the Capital. However, excise officials did not specify the reason behind the move. Liquor vend operators said they have been informed to comply with the revised time until further orders. htc
