LUCKNOW, April 2 -- The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched a city-wide door-to-door verification drive of all allotted residential and commercial properties to eliminate discrepancies and curb potential fraud in property records.
The initiative aims to plug long-pending gaps and create a comprehensive, updated database of property ownership across LDA schemes, officials said.
LDA vice-chairman Prathamesh Kumar issued the directive on Wednesday, ordering physical verification of properties to root out irregularities affecting governance and service delivery. Officials said incomplete and outdated records often delayed official work and increased the risk of fraudulent transactions.
