India, Aug. 9 -- A 24-year-old law graduate died by suicide in Bandra East on Friday, with his family alleging that he had been harassed and threatened by a woman friend and her sister. The Kherwadi police have registered a case against the two women for alleged abetment of suicide.

The deceased, who lived with his parents and younger brother, had been disturbed for the past few days, according to the police.

"He told his family that his female friend, with whom he used to study, and her sister had been threatening him with a police complaint for the past few days," said a police officer from Kherwadi police station. The nature of the allegations the women intended to make was not immediately clear.
