LUCKNOW, Aug. 14 -- Doctors at King George's Medical University (KGMU) successfully treated an eight-year-old girl with a rare congenital condition in which she had a near-complete duplication of the colon.

Divya, 8, from Ambedkar Nagar, had been passing stool through an extra opening below the vaginal opening since birth, while also passing stool normally. After unsuccessful treatment elsewhere, she was referred to KGMU, a release shared with the media on Friday read.
